William's Bay

This weekend was Sadie's first, and most likely only, trip to the Fucik family summer home in Williams Bay, WI.  The house was built in 1903 by my great-great-grandparents.  It has been passed down twice, first to my great-grandfather and his brother, then to my grandpa, his three brothers, and one of their cousins.  With all of them getting older and nobody else wanting to or being able to afford to take care of it, the house and property are going to be sold soon.  I wanted to make sure to get Sadie there at least once before we can't go there anymore.  Even if she doesn't remember it, I will.  Here she is reading her book on the bed in the front bedroom.
Playing on the floor in the living room.
Having a snack at the dining room table.
Watching the boats on the bay from the front porch.
Swinging down at the community park.
Having supper at a nearby restaurant.
As we were pulling out of the driveway, I told her to say "Bye Lake Geneva" and she waved.  It was so cute, but it almost made me cry.  I love that place and have so many great memories there (Dinner, 5 minutes!), and I'm so sad that she won't be able to grow up there like we did.
